Having thought up a rough story idea for my children's book I needed to plan and write the story. I used a method we used in the classroom of a 5-point plan or story mountain, opening, build-up, climax, resolution, ending. The 5-point plan is a teaching tool used to get children to write a different part of their story for each day of the school week (Mon-Fri) whilst this method is effective for children writing stories the principle can be applied to my project also.
Opening: Introducing the problem (odd socks)
Build up: Investigating their whereabouts
Climax: Discovery
Resolution: Looking for evidence
Ending: A funny conclusion
